New paths and cycle tracks open in Wales as part of the National Cycle Network.

The first part of a project bringing the National Cycle Network to the heart of Clydach has opened.
The scheme, by Sustrans, opens up a canal towpath and provides a link through to the Pontardawe Road depot site.
Funding for the project has come from The Big Lottery Fund, the Welsh Government, the European Regional Development Fund and the Swansea Canal Society.
Helen Davies, Scheme Manager for Sustrans, said: “This project has been driven by the local community from the start, and we are looking forward to adding further links to Morriston, Glais and Pontardawe.”
The scheme also features a portrait bench, allowing the local community to immortalise in steel, three people who have meant a lot to the area.
Residents of the local area chose to immortalise local midwife Lillian Smith, scientist Harry Grindell Matthews and 1991 Rugby World Cup final referee Derek Bevan.
