Lacock village is near (around 3 miles) to the town of Chippenham in North Wiltshire.
The village is owned almost in its entirety by the National Trust and attracts many visitors by virtue of its unspoiled appearance.
The videographer starts the walk on the footpath from Reybridge to Lacock around dawn on 6th March 2021.
The walk passes along a single-track lane towards the centre of the village.
Before we arrive in the village the walk will pass Lacock’s flowing ford. It is quiet on the day of filming but during the summer you may see children dipping their toes in the water or playing Poohsticks on the nearby bridge.
According to the National Trust : Lacock village is a firm favourite for film and TV producers, most notably for its picturesque streets and historic cottages, untouched by modern alterations.
The village’s most famous appearances include ‘Downton Abbey’, the BBC’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’ and ‘Cranford’, and the films ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ and ‘Wolfman’.
