If you fancy some time away from the office whilst finding out about your local surroundings and a bit more about your colleagues, then Netwalks could be just the thing for you.
Small Business Britain and the communications company BT are joining together to offer weekly walks around Britain to help share ideas and experiences.
Walks will take place each week and you can select which you’d like to join from the currently 15+ locations available.
The Netwalks will take place in accessible, well lit local spaces, in the day time and will end at a space where you’ll then be able to enjoy some coffee and cake and carry on the conversations.
Netwalks, a growing activity
Netwalks are a growing activity to gather groups of colleagues and businesses together around the UK.
In Manchester, UK, Philippa Vishnyakov, has been hosting Netwalks for almost 10 years.
As a local Green Badge Tour Guide and Associate of the Institute of Tourist Guiding she hosts regular lunchtime walks aimed at Manchester professionals and members of the business community. These can be booked via her website RevealManchester.co.uk
Tinkadventures also runs Netwalks this time around West Yorkshire.
No-one remembers the 60 second pitch over a pint but you do remember laughing in the fresh air with someone.
TinkAdventures
Walks are around 3-5 miles and at a leisurely pace, as it’s more important we get to chat than it is to smash out the miles.
All walks start at 9.30am and last until around 11.30am. You get a couple of hours of friendly chat in the fresh air and a lovely guided walk.
